i'm getting use, getting use to the rejection

Last night, The Features and J-Roddy Walston ripped Chattanooga a new one at
Rhythm and Brews. 300+ people danced and shaked and tore their vocal cords
screaming their nah nah nah's and whoa-a-whoa's. Kids were moving around,
celebrating birthdays, and toasting great rock and roll.

The last song J-Roddy played was brand new. I forgot the name, but it kicked
ass. And the Fight Song and Baltimore are 2 of my favorites now. Those guys
sounded good. Really good. I hope this line-up sticks. J-Roddy broke a mic stand
during Rock and Roll II. Zach Westphal is the funniest man I've ever seen on a
stage. Following a solo, I screamed at Billy, "too much fuckin' heat!"

Features pulled out some old stuff which was really cool. Buffalohead might have
been just for me (I requested it earlier that day). The title (above) is taken from
a line in the chorus for all you uninitiated kids. And Kari-Anne was a surprise; they
haven't done that one in Chatty in a while. New stuff by them is starting to come
together as well. Last time, it was a little rough, but I'm really digging it now.
Rollum was kicking some serious ass as usual. People don't realize this but
Parrish (on keys) is really fun to watch. That guy is cool as shit.

Which band won the battle of Chattanooga last night? Tough call.
I think when it's all said and done, rock and roll won.

If you missed it b/c of the birthday party at Lamar's, it's understandable.
If you missed it b/c of laziness or you think you had something more important
to do, then you're a damn fool.

I was planning on coming all week and then I fell asleep a few hours before the show, but to be honest Rhythm n Brews +300 people doesn't sound like to much fun anyway. (wow I'm old)

You're not old, James. You're just weak. :)
