now they want our money?
Remember when you used to listen to WUTC?
When they had good DJ's with good local programming?
Remember when it had some relevance to the city?
Guess what? Now the station wants your money.
Their Spring fundraising campaign starts up on April 20th.
I strongly urge people to re-evaluate what the station means
to them before sending in their money. Before writing a check,
ask yourself:
Is the station really fulfilling its potential in our city?
How does WUTC currently enhance the Chattanooga experience?
Why am I paying for more NPR programming when I can just
stream it online at my own convenience for free?
How might my donation better serve the community?
For the last question I may have a solution: donate to Chattablogs.
Seriously. We need a new server big time. 700 blogs are currently
hosted on the Terrablog server. It's lagging and can't keep
up with the demand. Besides, our blogs exist out of love for the
city...which is more than I can say for WUTC.
A new server runs $3k. That's cheaper than running a radio station.
